Apple TV plugin for playing local content released

AwkwardTV contributor ericiii has released ATVFiles, a plugin (”frappliance”) for the Apple TV that plays video files without transcoding and syncing/streaming them. Together with 3rd-party codecs, it can play a wide variety of formats. This version no longer has hardcoded filenames, plus it gets around the frappliance whitelist so you aren’t limited to one plugin. Videos showing custom Apple TV plugins had appeared before.

I really appreciate this AppleTV plugin. How much work would it be to integrate bookmarks to partial watched movies like Front Row and “generic” AppleTV movies are handled?
Thanks for all your work.
